What is the advantage over the search functionality in my PDF reader?
ReadWorks offers many advantages over linear searches. Several searches can be carried out and visualised in parallel. ReadWorks works across documents and automatically updates the search hits when new documents are added to a case.
Does ReadWorks run in the cloud (SaaS)?
No the ReadWorks application will run on your computer. An internet connection is only mandatory for licence and update checks.
Where are my documents and searches stored?
ReadWorks stores all data on your computer.
Can ReadWorks handle documents in different languages?
Yes with the restriction that OCR only works for languages available in the app (German and English). In the near future, the app will also be available in Spanish, French and Italian.
Can ReadWorks recognise handwritten text?
At the moment, ReadWorks can only recognise machine text. With the availability of handwriting recognition models, we will provide this feature as well.
Does ReadWorks really work on Apple computers?
Yes.
